SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 30 – An Asian-Fusion
restaurant at 42-24 Bell
Boulevard in Queens was
damaged by fire in January
2019. While it could have
moved back in, it did not,
amid COVID. A lawsuit ensued,
removed to Federal
court.
On June 30, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The applicability
of COVID-related laws was
discussed. Judge Woods have
his standard warning about
discovery: do not hold back
with objections until late in
the process, extensions are
not automatic.
The case is
Corona Group, LLC v. Park,
21-cv-2889 (Woods)
