SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 4 – Leslie Rivera
sued New York City after being
detained for not having a
license for an electric
bike.
On July 2, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Gregory H.
Woods held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Plaintiff's
counsel said they had taken
over the case for a lawyer who
died, but now was only
sporadically in contact with
the client.
Judge Woods said
if the deadline to provide a
signed unsealing release under
NY Criminal Procedure Law
Section 160.50, the case may
be dismissed.
The case is
Rivera v. City of New York et
al, 20-cv-9968 (Woods)
