SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 16 – Rajeev Munjal
went to work for Emirates
airlines in Dubai in 2012. He
had sued saying he was
discriminated against base on
disability and nationality,
Indian.
On
November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Engelmayer held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Munjal's
lawyer was talking about how
to depose Emirates' employees
based in Dubai - when they
come to New York, or
virtually?
The defense was
asking for a stay of
discovery, but Judge
Engelmayer found their
argument hyperbolic and
"emotive." He declined to stay
discovery.
Judge
Engelmayer said fact discovery
is sue by April 18, 2022 with
another case management
conference set for May 18,
2022.
The case is
Munjal v. Emirates, 21-cv-8401
