SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 5 – Medghyne Calonge is
accused of intentionally
damaging the computer system
of a New York-based company
after she was
fired.
Now a trial
approaches on August 4 before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods. Inner
City Press which has filed
with Judge Woods for unsealing
of judicial documents in
another matter, is following
the case.
Federal
Defenders, representing
Calonge now argue to preclude
the government from
cross-examining Calonge about
her prior conviction in 2008
(for "uttering a forged
instrument") and the conduct
underlying her 2002 arrest for
obtaining property or services
in return for a worthless
check.
The case
is US v. Calonge, 20-cr-523
(Woods)
