SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 7 – Shaquille Perkins was
stopped by NYPD officers on
Burke and Cruger Avenue with
K2 and a gun, as a
felon.
On October
5 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held his
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it. Perkins faced
a guideline of 70 to 87
months.
Judge
Rakoff asked a number of
questions including, as he
does, about vaccination.
Perkins had a
letter of support from God's
Love We Deliver: "I have told
Shaquille I hope everything
works out for him at his
up-and-coming court date on
October 5th so that he may be
able to continue to work with
our organization and grow
within the company."
Judge Rakoff sentenced Perkins
to 24 months, recommending Ft.
Dix or Otisville, with
self-surrender on November 30.
The case is US v.
Perkins, 19-cr-705 (Rakoff)
