SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 3 – The New York
Athletic Club of the City of
New York has sued Kokomo USA
LCC for trademark violation.
But the defendant says the
case is worth only
$60.
On August 3, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The lawyer
for NYAC rattled off how many
Club members were winning
Olympic medals, and said the
clubs rooms are not for the
wider public but only members
of the Club, or affiliated and
prestigious clubs including,
he noted, in Los
Angeles.
The
defendant said the case is a
waste of money and time,
Kokomo made only $60 and has
defenses anyway.
The case is New
York Athletic Club of the City
of New York, Inc. v. Kokomo
USA LLC et al., 21-cv-2389
(Woods)
