SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 7 – Tracy Reynolds moved
money for a high end
prostitution or escort
business.
When her boss
Izhak Cohen fled to Israel,
she allowed him to make
withdrawals from her credit
card, then paid the bills with
other workers' sex trade
proceeds.
On February
3, U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald
held a change of plea
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Reynolds
sobbed throughout the
proceeding. Judge Buchwald
asked gentle questions, about
how the payments worked.
At the end she
said the virtual proceeding
had allowed her to learn more
about the defendant, and
perhaps it was reciprocal.
The
sentencing was set for June 7,
and Reynolds was now allowed
to speak with her sister,
though not about the case in
which she is involved.
On June 7,
the sentencing did take place,
and Inner City Press again
covered it. There were legal
issues about five or more
participants, and no victims
were found. But despite tears
and a description of a new job
in Search Engine Optimization,
a sentence of a year and a day
was imposed, with thirty days
or more to self surrender to a
BOP camp.
