Blossom Du Jour Neglected To Pay Overtime But Unclear If Plaintiffs Are Still in NYC

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 12 – Celvin Lisandro Perez Ramos and other delivery people sued BDJVegan1 doing business as Blossom Du Jour for paying less than minimum wage.

On October 9 U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Cave was arranging a December 3 bench trial. The lawyers asked questions if they would have to come in, citing health issues.

Judge Cave said that at least two SDNY judges held virtual bench trials this summer and that she is willing to do so.

She asked if the plaintiffs are still in New York; there was no clear answer.

The case is Ramos et al v. BDJVegan1, Inc. et al., 16-cv-8776 (Cave)
