SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 27 – Miguel Moore pull a
Ruger P95 handgun on NYPD
Officers Kevin Mockel and
David Sammarco on July 19,
2015 and shouted he was going
to kill the
officers.
On
December 23 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Crottry held a
violations of supervised
release hearing then
sentencing Inner City Press
covered both.
Of the new
incident, Moore's lawyer asked
about a search done of his
client, saying the officer had
not credibility. Judge Crotty
did not agree.
But on
sentencing, he listened to
arguments about Moore's time
in New York State custody, and
his now five times in
quarantine.
From an initially
announced sentence of 24
months, Judge Crotty descended
to 19 months. Call it the
Christmas season.
The case is US v.
Moore, 15-cr-581 (Crotty)
