SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 27 – Rebecca Bayuo was
indicted for tax fraud in
2015. Now in 2020 she is
trying to get out of jail,
including with an appeal to
the Second Circuit Court of
Appeals.
On May 27, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
hearing, which Inner City
Press covered.
It took
place the day before Bayuo's
appeal is argued in the Second
Circuit. Judge Koeltlt said he
would not be issuing any
indicative ruling, which had
been requested by Bayuo's
Goodwin Proctor lawyers. Inner
City Press will cover the
appeal.
The SDNY case is
USA v. Bayuo, 15-cr-576
(Koeltl).
