SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 5 – Octovio
Molina-Acevedo was convicted
of conspiring to distribute
more than a kilo of heroin. He
is seeking compassionate
release.
On June 4, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lorna G. Schofield held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
question of deportation to
Mexico was put off for another
day. Judge Schofield directed
the Government to file under
seal the defendant's medical
records and information about
the status of the York County
Prison with respect to
COVID-19.
Why should the
latter be sealed?
The case is US v.
Molina-Acevedo, et al.,
18-cr-365 (Schofield).
