SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 18 – In New York,
the Fair Housing Justice
Center sued Gotham
Organization for
inaccessibility at its
developments The Ashland in
Fort Greene in Brooklyn and
The Nicole in Hell's Kitchen
in Manhattan. Then it seemed
settled.
On August 18, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Woods
said he needs to know more
about the settlement. He does
not just rubber stamp them. It
is in the docket as Item 111.
It describes retrofits, and
has a section, "No
Admissions."
The case is Fair
Housing Justice Center, Inc.
v. Gotham Organization Inc. et
al., 19-cv-4764 (Woods)
