SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 1 – Asaf Ben Oz
formed Direct Diamond in 1999
to trade gemstones over the
Internet.
He agreed
to a deal with Richard Rutta
but then came to believe that
Rutta's source of funds was
illegal. Now there is a
lawsuit.
On July 30, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defendants have not responded.
(Rutta is listed as living in
Israel).
Judge Koeltl
instructed Oz to submit an
Order to Show Cause for a
default judgment.
The case is Oz et
al v. Rutta et al, 21-cv-291
(Koeltl)
