SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 21 – A funeral home
dispute has given rise to a
lawsuit and
default.
On May 19,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
conference. Inner City Press
covered it.
The dispute
arose due to a divorce before
death, but no request to
change the beneficiary before.
Judge Ramos ruled
that Bell's Funeral Service
LCC had defaulted; another
funeral home got paid.
The case is
American General Life
Insurance Company v. Clarke et
al., 21-cv-3307 (Ramos)
