SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 30 – A FOIA case was
filed by the publisher of The
Intercept, First Look
Institute, against the
National Institutes of Health,
for records "demonstrative of
funding to provided to
virologist Dr. Peter Daszak to
study the emergence of
zoonotice diseases such as
Sars-CoV-2, the virus
responsible for the COVID-19
pandemic."
On August 30 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
complaint states that Daszak
"is the sole U.S. scientist on
the World Health Organization
(WHO) team investigating the
orders of the virus... Daszak
has deep, longstanding ties to
the Wuhan Institute of
Virology, a Chinese research
facility central to questions
about the origin of the
pandemic."
Judge
Woods ordered the production
of 300 pages per month, with a
status letter due on December
1.
And when will the
public see the story - or the
documents?
The case is First
Look Institute, Inc. et al v.
National Institutes of Health,
21-cv-4024 (Woods)
