SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 29 – Supercom sued
911inet LLC and Specialty
Location Services under a
lease for electronic
monitoring hardware and
software.
On February 7, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge Jed
S. Rafoff, after a full day
proceeding over Palin v. NYT,
held a proceeding in this
case, on a motion for summary
judgment. Inner City Press
covered it.
It was
argued that SLS never really
existed as it should. There
was heated rhetoric.
Judge Rakoff said
he did not want to hear such
language again, but that he
would resolve the motion.
On April 29, he
did. Inner City Press was
present. He granted the motion
to dismiss as to 911inet LCC,
but denied it as to Javier
Garcia. He wants a fast bench
trial May 9 or May 16, with
the parties to write in on May
2 as to date and if it will be
virtual.
The case is
Supercom Inc. v. 911inet LLC
et al., 20-cv-8228
(Rakoff)
