SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 3 – Peggy Calderon
Trotman was on a Delta flight
from New York to Amsterdam on
July 5, 2019 when a cup of hot
tea, without a lid, spilled on
her and gave her second degree
burns on her thighs. She
sued.
On August 3, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Counsel
for Delta immediately said
there was contributory
negligence and it might
qualify under the Montreal
Convention.
The case is
Calderon Trotman v. Delta
Airlines, Inc., 21-cv-4441
(Koeltl)
