May 21 – Artist Tracie Cheng
sued China-based Shein
Distribution Corp for
counterfeiting her
paintings.
On May 19,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
conference.
Inner City Press
covered it. Shein is
selling them as "Mountain
Print Unframed Painting" on
its website and apps.
Judge Ramos set
another conference for October
5 at 10 am.
The case is Cheng
v. Shein Distribution Corp.,
21-cv-9414 (Ramos)
