SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 19 – The American
Museum of Natural History has
sued Affiliated FM Insurance
Company on its business
interruption issues policy,
triggered by COVID
19.
On September 17 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Affiliated FM
Insurance Company says this is
like many cases that have been
dismissed, in that the Museum
fails to demonstrate that its
property suffered tangible
harm caused by COVID-19.
Judge Woods said the motion to
dismiss is due October 4, and
discovery is stayed.
The case is
American Museum of Natural
History v. Affiliated FM
Insurance Company, 21-cv-7194
(Woods)
