Possession Twice Prosecuted in SDNY Now
Faces January 2022 Trial

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 5 – Timothy Mitchell was
indicted on September 22, 2020
for having been a felon in
possession of a firearm and
ammunition on March 22,
2019.
On October
14 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Kimba M. Wood held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
Assistant US Attorney said
there will be substantial
discovery in the case,
including surveillance video.
Mitchell's lawyer
has asked to consolidate the
case with another Mitchell has
before SDNY Judge John G.
Koeltl. The AUSA says it is
not for the same
conduct.
On May 5,
Judge Wood held another
conference in the case, and
Inner City Press again covered
it. Now, the trial is set for
January 10, 2022, with motions
due November 8.
