SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 2 – On August 29, 2019
Agustin Marmolejos was
indicted for conspiracy to
distribute heroin. On January
2, 20202 he was presented in
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrates Court, and the
indictment was unsealed.
Marmolejos, referred to in the
indictment as a/k/a Lizalde,
argued for release of bail.
But SDNY Magistrate Judge
Stewart D. Aaron, after
retiring to his robing room to
consider the matter, returned
and ruled that no set of
conditions could ensure
Marmolejos' return to court,
where his case has been
wheeled out to SDNY District
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer.
No date has been
set for his arraignment; his
CJA lawyer did not request any
specific date. Magistrate
Judge Aaron waived or
postponed to the thirtieth
day, February 3. And
Marmolejos returned into
custody. The case is US v.
Marmolejos, 19-cr-626
(Engelmayer).
