SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 26 – Heidi Celeste
Willford sued United Airlines
for discriminating her as a
pregnant flight
attendant.
On October
26 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Katherine H.
Parker held a proceeding.
Inner City Press called in to
cover it.
Inner City Press went asked
identified itself. Then
plaintiff's counsel Mark
Furman asked the courtroom
deputy if it was normal, to
have the press present at a
conference. Well,
yes.
Ms.
Willford injured her back
while turning a customer's bag
in the overhead luggage
compartment. Later she took
IVF treatments. United sent
her a termination email,
according to the complaint. A
protective order has been
entered.
Fact
discovery was extended through
November 30, with a joint
status letter due on the day.
The case is
Willford v. United Airlines,
Inc., 18-cv-1060 (Daniels /
Parker)
