SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 2 – Equatorial Guinea's
Mission to the United Nations
faces a motions for sanctions
for misusing sovereign
immunity (like the UN itself,
some say) in a pending
lawsuit.
On
September 2 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Kenneth M. Karas received a
motion for sanctions against
the Permanent Mission of
Equatorial Guinea to the
United Nations, uncovered by
Inner City Press at the
SDNY.
Leonard and Carol
Eisenberg since 2018 have been
seeking resolution from the
Equatorial Guinea UN Mission
and Anatolio Ndong Mba,
residing at 102 Hillair
Circle, White Plains for
encroachment.
But
immunity or impunity continue
to be cited. Hence a motion
for sanctions.
The case is
Eisenberg v. Permanent Mission
of Equatorial Guinea to the
UN, 18-cv-2092 (Karas)
