Felon in Possession Twice Prosecuted in SDNY Faces Koeltl Sentencing While Wood Discovery

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 14 – Timothy Mitchell was indicted on September 22 for having been a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition on March 22, 2019.

On October 14 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Kimba M. Wood held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The Assistant US Attorney said there will be substantial discovery in the case, including surveillance video.

Mitchell's lawyer has asked to consolidate the case with another Mitchell has before SDNY Judge John G. Koeltl. The AUSA says it is not for the same conduct.

In this case, Judge Wood set a next conference for January 12, 2021.

This case is US v. Mitchell, 20-cr-504 (Wood)
