SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 26 – American Textile
& Apparel, Inc. sued
Sealand for damage to cargo it
paid to ship from Choloma
Cortes, Honduras to Mira Loma,
California by way of
Houston.
On January 26, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The loss
came within Honduras, when in
transit from Choloma Cortes to
Puerto Cortes, the truck
driver was intercepted by
armed bandits, leading to
theft and a loss of
$98,000.
Judge
Failla said fact discovery is
sued by June 26.
The parties
envision a two to three day
bench trial, with a pre-trial
conference set for August 3,
2022.
