SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 22 – The death of Franklin
Ramos Sanchez while imprisoned
in the Metropolitan
Correctional Center in 2015
has given rise to a lawsuit
inquiring into the medical
negligence of doctors used by
the Bureau of Prisons.
On May 19, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
conference. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiff's lawyer wants lists
of malpractice cases filed
against the doctors. Just look
on PACER, the governmental
defendant suggested.
But what about state
cases? Docket numbers will be
provided as discovery. But
will not be made public in
that form?
The case is
Burton et al v. America et
al., 18-cv-2039 (Ramos)
