Old Composer Sues For 1954 Song Defendant

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 26 – Paulette Rubinstein,
now 96-years old, has sued
Music Sales Corporation for
misusing her 1954 song "If I'm
Lucky (I'll Be the
One)."
On July 26, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Defense counsel
complained about the follow of
Request for Admission given,
they said, that the song has
not even earned $1,000 in the
last ten years.
Judge Liman
nevertheless devoted time to
the requests, and asked that
further arguments be submitted
to him in letters.
