SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 11 – Gartner, Inc. which
hosted conference and events
worldwide has sued HCC
Specialty Underwriters, Inc.
over its insurance policy for
event cancellation amid
COVID-19.
On August 9, 2021 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Gartner also
wants to disqualify Norton
Rose Fulbright as defense
counsel.
On September 13,
Judge Koeltl held another
proceeding, and Inner City
Press again covered it. Now
the geographic scope was
inquired into, and ways to
wall off lawyers. On September
7, Judge Koeltl denied a
motion for leave to file a
document, and an application
for relief from the stay,
noting that Gartner "can make
whatever relevant arguments in
connection with the motion to
disqualify."
On February 11,
Judge Koeltl held another
proceeding and Inner City
Press again covered it. He had
ruled that the case will not
be tainted by NRFUS
representation of the
defendants. Now there are
filings through May 13.
The case is
Gartner, Inc. v. HCC Specialty
Underwriters, Inc. et al.,
20-cv-4885 (Koeltl)
