June 16 – Junelys Rosado
and other similarly situated
sued Tierra y Mar Restaurant
of Manhattan under the NYS
Wage Theft Prevention
Act.
On June
15, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Edgardo Ramos
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Tierra y
Mar never showed up. Judge
Ramos entered a default
judgment for $66,472, along
with attorney's fees and cost
of $3,675 and post-judgment
interest.
