SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 16 – Thiana Vargas was
injured working at LaGuardia
Airport for Liberty Mechanical
Contractors. Now the insurers
are fighting.
On May 16,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held
a conference. Inner City Press
covered it.
Counsel explained that the
underlying case has been
delayed, not only by COVID
restrictions on courts but the
possible striking of a
pleading due to not providing
discovery.
Judge Engelmayer
said, in candor, he's seen
more serious injuries that
those here and that the
parties should try to resolve
it.
The case is
Zurich American Insurance
Company v. Selective Insurance
Company of America, 22-cv-1315
(Engelmayer)
