SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 22 –
Ebony Jerico of The Bronx, New
York sued Uber Technologies
over a car crash. Uber removed
the case to Federal
court.
On April 21, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiff, understandably,
wants to transfer the case
back to The Bronx.
But Uber
opposes, saying there is
diversity of citizenship.
Judge Failla inquired and then
gave Uber until May 23 to
oppose Jerido's motion to
remand.
The case is
Jerido v. Uber Technologies,
Inc., 22-cv-2217 (Failla)
