SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 24 – Standard
General LLP, described as an
activist investor making moves
to try to shake up the board
of TEGNA, has been sued under
Section 16(b) of the
Securities Exchange Act by
Donna Ann Gabriele
Chechele.
On April 21, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defendants sought a stay of
the Federal case, saying that
the plaintiff could seek an
appraisal in Delaware.
After inquiry,
Judge Failla agreed to the
stay under further order of
the court, asking to be kept
apprised.
The case is
Chechele v. Standard General
Master Fund L.P. et al.,
20-cv-3177 (Failla)
