SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 9 – In an IDEA case
against the New York City
Department of Education, there
is a dispute about attorney's
fees of over $500 an hour, as
well as photocopying charges
of 20 cents a
page.
On August 9, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Liman
asked questions about the
twenty (or ten) cents a page,
and Second Circuit precedents
in the field.
Afterward
plaintiffs' counsel submitted
case law, including an iBrain
decision by Judge J. Paul
Oetken.
This case is M.H.
et al v. New York City
Department of Education,
20-cv-1923 (Liman)
