SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 26 – Robyn Abraham,
saying she owns the rights to
The Man of La Mancha, sued The
Viola Fund and others for $250
million. Then her lawyer quit.
On April 26, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
outgoing attorney presented
his reasons "in camera."
The request was
granted, and Abraham's request
to adjourn the upcoming bench
trial was denied. Judge Failla
said she will reach out to the
SDNY's pro se unit.
The case is
Abraham v. Leigh, et al.,
17-cv-5429 (Failla)
