SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 17 – Housing court lawyer
Jeffrey M. Goldman worked from
home amid the COVID-19
pandemic.
But when he said
returning to the office was
put him at risk, he was fired.
He is 70 years old, and he has
sued.
On July
30, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Debra C.
Freeman held a discovery
hearing. Inner City Press
covered it.
The talk was of
health records, and Judge
Freeman said things need not
"go back to birth." Five years
were agreed on.
Jump cut to
September 17 when the assigned
District Judge Alison J.
Nathan held a proceeding. She
emphasized to the parties that
Magistrate Judge Freeman is
managing the case - including
any settlement conference,
which would put off motions
for summary judgment.
The case is
Goldman v. Sol Goldman
Investments LLC et al.,
20-cv-6727 (Nathan / Freeman)
