SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – Surujpaul
Ramlogan was beaten in a
Riker's Island bathroom on
July 28, 2017. He
sued.
On
November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
There will
be summary judgment motions.
Judge Cronan proposed holding
the next proceeding on them on
May 11.
One of the
lawyers laughed and said that
is the only day in May 2021 he
has something on his calendar,
in Islip.
A trial? asked
Judge Cronan.
No, just
another conference, seemingly
in person.
So May 11 was
selected for his Riker's
Island case.
It is Ramlogan v.
Caputo et al., 20-cv-5879
(Cronan)
