SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 7 – Alejandro Huggins, a
superintendent, sued Chestnut
Holdings on behalf of himself
and others similarly situated.
Now his lawyers need to call
others about the case.
On
January 6, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Paul A. Crotty
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Crotty ruled on the propriety
of a script for the calls, "I
am calling about a current
class action case." That part,
he said, was fine.
But they cannot
read or say, "Once you receive
the notice, you will see there
will be the name and telephone
number of an attorney that you
can call if you have any
further questions." Nor must
the calls be recorded.
The case is
Huggins v. Wiener et al.,
18-cv-1037 (Crotty)
