SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 25 – Randy Mena
Contreras was arrested in late
2019 in The Bronx driving a
bag of cocaine for
$1000.
On October
23 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan held his
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
Mena
spoke for himself at the end,
expressing regret "to this
great country" and
acknowledging he will be
deported.
Judge
Kaplan called his expression
of remorse credible and
sentenced him to 15 months
then obedience to Immigration.
The case is US v.
Mena, 20-cr-113 (Kaplan)
