SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 1 –LaCroix beverages are
comprised of between 36% and
98% synthetic ingredients, a
lawsuit covered by Inner City
Press on July 1 alleged.
LaCroix producer
National Beverage Corporation
wants much of it
sealed.
U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger, who has previously
asked Inner City Press to "bow
out" of another civil case
which other media proceeded to
cover, and moved a criminal
proceeding from the SDNY
Magistrates Court to his own
locked courtroom, held a
proceeding on July 1. Inner
City Press covered it - on the
phone.
Much of
the dispute was whether the
common interest privilege
applies.
But from the
docket, it's hard to tell:
there is a "Confidentiality
Agreement and Protective
Order," and requests for leave
to file redacted letters.
The case is
Graham et al v. National
Beverage Corporation,
19-cv-873 (Torres /
Lehrburger).
