SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 13 – Carlos Vinales has
been in custody on Rikers
Island; he had one dollar bail
but was not released until the
issue of a federal detainer
was resolved.
On January
13, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Loretta A. Preska
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Preska inquired into where
Vinales would be living, and
how he would quarantine.
By proceeding's
end, she agreed to sign an
order vacating the detainer.
Later, the US Attorney's
Office filed a letter that
Vinales should quarantine 14
days in his parent's
residence.
The case is US v.
Vinales, 16-cr-167 (Preska)
