In Bronx Ammo Case Bureau of Prisons Withholding Medical Treatment Raised

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 22 – In a multi-defendant case where at least one of those detained is allegedly being denied medical care, on July 22 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Laura Taylor Swain held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Swain was told how the Bureau of Prisons now refuses to provide medical equipment and assistance absent an order of the court.

She asked if the AUSA, Ryan Finkel, would oppose her issuing an order to the BOP.

He did not.

The case involves ammunition from a 9mm luger found, used, outside 2322 Ryer Avenue in The Bronx on October 25, 2019.

The case is US v. Christopher, 19-cr-875 (Swain)
