SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 25 – Off Cuts, Inc. was
sued for not paying overtime;
the complaints lists
restaurants including Smith
& Wollensky at 797 Third
Avenue and Maloney &
Porcelli on 50th
Street.
On
February 25 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Wang
inquired into the status of
discovery.
She said she
thought class or collective
discovery should precede
"common enterprise" discovery.
The case is
Barragan et al v. Off Cuts,
LLC et al., 20-cv-3357 (Wang)
