SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 11 – Ram Krishana Inc
sued Mt Hawley Insurance Co.
in connection with one of the
2020 storms in Louisiana.
On July 8,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Edgardo Ramos held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Ramos
asked, Why are you here? It
was a venue provision in the
insurance contract, upheld by
the Fifth Circuit. Then Judge
Ramos asked why a storm two
months after Laura was Delta.
It was
explained that after the 26
storms A to Z, they moved to
Greek letters. That many
storms.
Judge Ramos
thanked the parties for their
answer and set a next
conference for September 9 at
3:30 pm.
The case is Ram
Krishana Inc v. Mt Hawley
Insurance Co., 22-cv-3803
(Ramos)
