SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 8 – Garrick Meikle, an
African American, constructed
and manned sales booths for
Transaction Network Services
Inc.
But after
he had knee surgery in 2016,
he says, he was discriminated
against and had his employment
terminated. He
sued.
On September 8 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
It was said
that motions for summary
judgment should occur before
any trial, for which witnesses
would have to come in from the
West Coast and Virginia. Judge
Koeltl set a schedule for
summary judgment motions.
The case is
Meikle v. Transaction Network
Services, Inc., 20-cv-953
(Koeltl)
