Juan Rojas was charged in a
drug distribution conspiracy.
On May 9,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held a
charge of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
Rojas, in detention, had an
interpreter. Judge Rakoff
asked him about the maximum
sentence, as well as the five
year mandatory minimum in the
plea agreement Rojas had
signed earlier in the
day.
Judge
Rakoff accepted the plea and
set a sentencing date, August
16.
