Dispute About Smithsonian Branded Science Kits Gets Acrimonious So Mediation Sought

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 23 – NSI International, Inc. sued Horizon Group USA, Inc. for allegedly stealing "virtually NSI's entire line of Smithsonian-branded science kits. Then there were discovery and timing disputes.

On September 22 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge John G. Koeltl held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Koeltl said the letter complaining of a missed deadline had not itself been helpful.

He urged mediation and made a referral; he said the time to respond or move to dismiss is October 22.

The case is NSI International, Inc. v. Horizon Group USA, Inc., 20-cv-8389 (Koeltl)
