SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 30 – Carlo Badamo sued
Chevron and Chuiquita Brands
for having developed cancer as
a result of exposure to
asbestos on ships from 1944
through
1954.
On August 30 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a post
discovery status conference.
Inner City Press covered it.
One
defendant asked for more time
to dig into whether Badamo was
or was not an employees.
Judge Liman gave
more time; he sent a trial
date for July 11 after another
date was vetoed by counsel who
said, Yeah, I'm that guy.
The case is
Badamo v. Chevron U.S.A. Inc.
et al., 20-cv-5847 (Liman)
