SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 8 – Angel Garcia was in
detention on Riker's Island on
April 15, 2019 when after he
complained his meal was cold,
he said Corrections Officer
Palementeri slapped his
feeding slot shut on his
hand.
On August
5, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Katherine Polk
Failla held a proceeding.

Angel Garcia has
passed away. His mother has
sought to be appointed
Administrix of his estate, but
said on August 5 that it has
not been possible without the
involvement of a Ms. Posphir
and Mr. Morales.
Judge
Failla gave until September 28
to file a motion to
substitution, or face
dismissal.
The case is
Garcia v. Palmenteri et al.,
