SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 20 – Jonathan and
Esther Zuhovitzky sued UBS
Asset Management and
affiliates for turning over
Esther's account to the US tax
authorities.
On August
19, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Katherine Polk
Failla held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The
complaint emphasized that
Esther Zuhovitzky "never
resided in New Yrok or
anywhere in the USA," but
instead in Kfar-Shmaryahu near
Tel Aviv.
But, it says, UBS
wanted to place her account in
the "cross-border US" division
from which UBS received
increased profits.
Judge
Failla gave the plaintiffs
until October 14 to file an
amended complaint.
Then UBS is to
write in about any plans to
move for summary judgment.
The case is
Zuhovitzky et al v. UBS AG Che
101.329.562 et al.,
21-cv-11124 (Failla)
