SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 28 – Frank D. Salamone
was on the cruise ship
"Norwegian Gem" at the
Manhattan Passenger Ship
Terminal on May 19, 2018 when
he was arrested outside his
state room on a charge of
Criminal Mischief in Yonkers.
He filed a Federal
lawsuit.
On September 28 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Salamone's
lawyer argued that because it
was a Yonkers charge, they
were wrong to arrest him on it
in Manhattan, not an adjacent
county. He has sued under the
Federal Tort Claims Act.
The case is
Salamone v. United States of
America, et al., 21-cv-4528
(Koeltl)
